Who we are

Flower Hour Mahj began with a simple realization:
the tiles on the table no longer reflected the women gathered around them.

Not in perfect rooms, or with unlimited time — but in between everything else.

An hour, if that.

Mahjong has a way of returning — to the same tables, the same people, again and again.

We call it the Flower Hour.

The hour between everything.

After work. After dinner. After the last goodnight.

When the tiles come out and the table becomes something more than a game.

Flower Hour Mahj is built around that hour.

Rooted in traditional American Mahjong — bams are bams, cracks are cracks — refined through a more considered lens.

Nothing reimagined. Everything elevated.

Designed for the way we actually play now. For the tables we make time for.

Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Keri, founder of Flower Hour Mahj.

Between work, three kids, and the pace of everyday life, I came to realize that an hour with friends around the mahjong table is never just a game - it’s a chance to reconnect. That feeling inspired Flower Hour Mahj.

I created these tiles to honor the tradition of American Mahjong while bringing a more thoughtful, timeless approach to the game.

Thank you for being here. I hope they’re part of many meaningful gatherings to come.
